All the lies in the world...or more accurately, the Atlantic

Sorry for not posting for several days.  After crazy weeks of work, needed a little time away from the computer.  No excuse though because we are in the fight for the soul of our country - the differences are becoming greater, the tactics more horrid and the partisanship will soon outweigh that which pulls us together.

To no surprise, let's start with the Atlantic article.  I ask people to take a step back and think about the following:

  • If the President disliked the military so much, why has he given them a Fourth of July parade, large financial and benefits increases, additional founding, appointed so many military leaders into his administration (although most have since left) and constantly praise them.  We don't need an article and an activist journalist to tell us what we can see with our own eyes to be true.
  • Democrats since 2002 have questioned our military wars.  Actually, even Vietnam and the Korean wars.  John Kerry was vocally critical of these wars, and often stated that the United States was receiving nothing from these wars.  That the people that fought in them were being sacrificed for nothing. And so on.  The are the ones that introduced the concepts of American isolation in their constant criticism of President George W. Bush.
  • Perhaps the best thing we can do for our soldiers is resist the desire to go to war, resist the war lobbyist and resist the politicians that push war agendas - people like the late Senator John McCain, current Senator Charles Schumer, Vice President Biden and many many others.  (In transparency, I was one of the folks that was adamant and absolute of Operation Iraqi Freedom.)
The Atlantic article is nothing more than a hit job.  For details on the coordinated attack, please see the following article from American Thinker: Link.

I, along with the President, is forever grateful and hold nothing but the highest esteem for our troops and military personnel.
